SZANDI PANKASZ

I am a bilingual Psychologist, Yoga Teacher and Life Coach based in South East London.
I found yoga 11 years ago during a stressful period of my life. I suffered from panic attacks and anxiety and I was searching for holistic practices that integrate mind and body to help me deal with it all. As a psychologist, I find it fascinating to see the benefits yoga can have on our mental health and wellbeing. In my teaching I combine physical movement, breath work, meditation and mindfulness.
I work full time as an Organisational Psychologist in a busy role. I know way too well what it feels like when you try to juggle the yogic path with an active and demanding professional life. This has a strong influence on my approach and I work hard to help fellow yogis apply the yogic teachings and practices to their busy daily lives.
My teaching style is a combination of asanas, pranayama, relaxation, mindfulness and psychology. I love variety and I design each of my class around specific themes - often based on my students' recommendations. I teach a mix of hatha, vinyasa flow, restorative and yin-style yoga. I also draw on my knowledge and experience as a psychologist. I do a lot of hands on adjustments in classes and help you take your practice at a level that is comfortable for you on that given day. I am certified by Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP 250hours).
I teach in South East London and I am also available for life and career coaching both in person and online. You can read more about my professional background here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexandra-szandra-pankasz-msc-mbpss-assoc-cipd-10284760/
In my free time I enjoy travelling, rock climbing, walking in nature, reading and of course, practicing yoga.
